About me 

Hi, I’m Cobe Blackmond, a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Journalism and a minor in Sports Broadcasting.

 

I currently work as a Production Assistant at Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), where I contribute to live sports programming and broadcast production in a fast-paced, professional environment.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve gained hands-on experience across all areas of sports media, including anchoring, reporting, directing, producing, and creating graphics for live broadcasts. From working behind the scenes with replay systems, graphics, and control room operations to hosting my own sports segment, Cobe’s Corner, I’ve developed a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of live production workflows.

 

What sets me apart is my versatility and ability to step into any role, whether on-air or behind the scenes. I take pride in being reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented, especially in high-pressure environments and under tight deadlines. My goal is to continue growing within the sports media industry, taking on new challenges and contributing to the creation of compelling, high-quality sports content at the professional level.
